HPC Supported Employment Traineeship
The HPC Supported Traineeship is a 14-week course with a six week training period to
prepare for working at Hinkley Point C. The programme aims wherever possible to support trainees to transition into paid employment and will support the development of independence skills in preparation for adult life.
Trainees will undertake an 8-week work placement within Hinkley Point C or with one of their partners. Our partnership with Discovery Supported Employment supports individuals to be matched to the right work placement and gain job coaching.
The programme is open to young adults between the ages of 18 to 24 with Special Educational Needs & Disabilities (SEND) or an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP). Applicants will need to be able to travel to Cannington for training each day, and then to their placement either at the HPC Site or the Bridgwater area.
