Skill Up is a project to support the community and businesses in West Somerset with their skills and Apprenticeship journey.
The service can be accessed via an online portal, www.skillupws.org.uk , which introduces Skill Up and provides information on Apprenticeships, Traineeships and Skills. The site signposts to opportunities, vacancies and information that may be of benefit. The portal also introduces the Skill Up team, who are there to help, and gives details of how to contact them.
Skill Up is not just a website, it is a service.

The latest edition of the WOW Show is helping to dispel the myths and preconceptions surrounding the construction industry and to promote the vast array of construction apprenticeship roles available to students today.
The WOW Show highlights a range of employers giving students an insight into the world of work and industries that they may not have been exposed to yet. Mini documentaries combined with an interactive Q&A are supported with lesson plans that link to curriculum learning. This latest construction special investigates the wonder of the built environment and allows students to see young people like them who have progressed in the construction industry through apprenticeship placements. The show will include projects and people from around the UK and shine a spotlight on the unexpected variety of employment opportunities.
