About the organisation
The NFU represents more than 45,000 farming and growing businesses. It's purpose is to champion British agriculture and horticulture, to campaign for a stable and sustainable future for British farmers and to secure the best possible deal for our members. The NFU strives to protect and promote British farm life and give members a voice now and in the future.
Careers Activities & Information
With ten trained NFU Farmers for Schools ambassadors in the Somerset area, the NFU is keen to work with primary schools to arrange assemblies at school.
Interested schools can register for a visit here.
Funds are also available for schools to visit farms.

Key primary programmes include STEMterprise aimed at Years 1 to 6 as well as live lessons throughout the year.
Live lessons generally go out in the spring (Science week) and the autumn (Harvest) and are live streamed and recorded to be used at other times.
